Donna Chamberlin focuses her practice in litigation of intellectual property matters and
licensing and prosecution of patents and trademarks. Donna has considerable summary
judgment experience and has litigated cases through trial. She graduated from California
State University - Long Beach with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in
Chemistry (1986), and received her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Camden (2000). She
is the recipient of the Rutgers Advanced Moot Court Top Ten Oral Argument award.
Prior to joining Seed IP, Donna worked as a design and process engineer for Mobil Oil
Corporation and the Southern California Gas Company. She has nearly a decade of field
experience in the combined areas of pipeline, manufacturing facilities, environmental
and process engineering, including supervision of shutdowns, startups and unit construction.
Her refining technology experience includes the areas of catalytic reforming, delayed coking,
hydrotreating, saturated and unsaturated gas processing, and crude atmospheric and vacuum
distillation. She has also worked on computer modeling of facilities.
Donna is a member of the Washington State Bar. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District
Court for the Western District of Washington, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District
of Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She is also registered
to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is a member of the King County Bar
Association and the Judicial Rating Committee.
